I’m Kate Hanson (she/her)

While working in a residential treatment center, I realized my passion is being a part of the eating disorder recovery process. I strongly believe in helping find peace with food and body image while also breaking away from diet culture. My experience includes working with adolescents and adults with all eating disorder diagnoses and practices from a weight neutral perspective.

In addition to working with eating disorders, I also am experienced in treating OCD, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Adult ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression. I utilize aspects of CBT, DBT and ACT to meet each client’s needs. I am trained in providing ERP as a treatment for OCD.

In her free time, I enjoy baking, visiting museums, reading, spending time with her 2 cats, and trying new restaurants.

I am practicing with North Carolina Therapy Professionals
